Kevin Tracy, a popular blogger from northern Indiana, covers the Indiana delegation's activities in regards to the House GOP Protest.
The second man here is Congressman Dan Burton (R-IN5) and probably
one of the most hard working conservatives in the country. If Abraham
Lincoln was resurrected, I wouldn’t be surprised if Dan Burton was told
that he was “the rock upon which which I will build my Party.”
Seriously, the guy is that loyal to conservatives and conservative
causes.
Take a look at Dan Burton’s campaign site here.
The lack of media coverage is VERY disturbing. The only conservative
television news network has been dedicated to tabloid stories, foreign
kidnappings of cute toddlers, and Sean Hannity’s ego. Although there
hasn’t been a complete media blackout of the event from FoxNews, there
might as well be.
Burton suggested that John McCain start giving them props for their work.
Oh, but wait a minute, John McCain doesn’t actually give a hoot
about the fate of the Republican Party or our numbers in Congress. If
anything, “President John McCain” would have an easier time passing his
anti-gun, pro-amnesty, anti-family agenda through Congress with a large
Democrat Majority. So why would John McCain help these people who, many
of whom are directly responsible for the series of defeats his amnesty
legislation was dealt over the past three years.
Still, kudos to Burton for bringing this up. Maybe some of you Party
Loyalists who are backing McCain can tell him to back our guys fighting
for energy independence in the darkened chambers of Congress.
Thanks for the great comments Kevin. You deserve a prominent place on the Burton blogroll.
